The team of British bitcoin-purse Wirex announced that in the near future, users of the application will have access to a personal bank account. A new service will be launched in the coming weeks, the company’s blog says.
Registered such an account will be in the UK, but it will be able to use it “customers from dozens of countries around the world” (the exact list has not yet been published). Each account will be assigned its own number and BIC. In addition, accounts are subject to mandatory registration with the local Office of Financial Regulation and Supervision.
As stated in the message, users will be able to receive transfers from third parties to their Wirex account: FPS (Faster Payments Service) is used within the UK, IBAN for international transactions. In the future, the list of available translation methods will be updated.
It is also noted that physical debit cards will be tied to the accounts, not prepaid ones. The company “hope” that their release will begin in the near future.
Recall, on the eve of bitcoin-purse Bread announced that this week, users of the application will be able to buy bitcoins using credit cards.
