Following Google and Facebook, which reported the ban on advertising cryptocurrency projects in their services, a similar decision was made by Twitter. This is written by SkyNews.
According to the portal, the new policy regarding advertisements will come into force in 2 weeks. It implies a ban on the placement of advertisements for the initial coin offering (ICO), other activities related to the sale of tokens, as well as cryptocurrency wallets.
In addition, Twitter may prohibit the advertising of cryptocurrency exchanges, by granting some of them the right to place their ads in an exceptional order.
Recall that a similar decision was made by Facebook in January. The management of the social network argues that such projects “are often associated with misleading practices.”
The decision to ban “any promotional materials on the topic of cryptocurrencies, including ICO, wallets and trade recommendations” in Google became known this week. The ban will start in June and affect all services provided by the company.
