Poloniex Says Scheduled Wallet Maintenance To End ‘Shortly’, No Update 16 Hrs After Start

Exchange of cryptocurrencies Poloniex tweeted that they will undergo scheduled maintenance on their wallet on Thursday, March 8, which was extended without comment from the company for more than a day.

Poloniex said that the current service, which could affect the withdrawal of funds for certain currencies, will begin around 12:30 pm. EST Thursday, and these wallets should work fine “soon after”. During printing, 16 hours after the start of maintenance, Poloniex has not yet commented on whether they completed the planned work.

Earlier this week Poloniex warned users about phishing in order to fool users of their credentials. According to  Twitter, the impostor offered a false application Poloniex in the store Google Play, when in fact there is no such application.

Poloniex further responded to rumors that the security of the exchange was compromised, reassuring users that the funds were safe, and the exchange was not hacked.

Earlier this week, users participated in the / r / poloniex subreddit for concern about long transactions and withdrawal times. One user reported that the ticket was withdrawn from January 4.

Another user reported that they waited more than seven weeks.
