Microsoft re-accepts Bitcoin at the expense of paying for its products after a temporary suspension of the service caused by the “instability” of cryptocurrency.
Microsoft allows its clients to replenish their beta counts on its platform since 2014. During this time, the company suspended the cryptocurrency three times: in 2015, 2016 and last week.
The last episode was related to the “instability of bitcoin as a currency,” explained in Microsoft.
In a conversation with news.com.au this Wednesday, the company representative confirmed the suspension of receiving payments in bitcoins. At the moment, the service is running in standard mode, she added.
“Bitcoin is available again as a payment method in our store. Together with the provider, we have been working to ensure that customers have the opportunity to use smaller amounts in bitcoins when making payments,” she said.
