Japanese company L’Operaio, engaged in import and sale of luxury cars, thanks to technological support of the country’s largest crypto-exchange bitFlyer has added a payment option bitcoins.
For retail partners bitFlyer set a limit on one purchase in the amount of 900 to 2760 dollars, but in cooperation with L’Operaio, the limit of the purchase amount through the digital wallet of the exchange was decided to raise up to 100 million yen (1 million dollars) in bitcoins.
The partnership was announced by the exchange on Tuesday; during the initial phase payments by bitcoins will be available in dealer stores only in the Tokyo districts of Nerima, Setagaya and Aoyama quarter.
In the future, this option is planned to be extended to all L’Operaio outlets.
Earlier, bitFlyer integrated cryptocurrency wallets for the largest Japanese electronics retailers – for example, in all Bic Camera stores and some branches of Yamada Denki.
In addition, last year the Marui department store also launched, along with bitFlyer, a test program for receiving payments by bitcoins in one of the outlets located in Tokyo’s Shinjuku quarter.
