Creator Litecoin Charlie Lee published a post on Reddit, in which he said that he no longer owns coins of his own cryptocurrency.
As Lee explained, he tried for a long time to avoid discussions about the price of cryptocurrency, but his status invariably caused a conflict of interest, and some commentators accuse him of using his position to influence the course and gain personal benefits.
“Some people even think that I’m opening short positions on LTC!” – writes Lee, then adds that he always tried to avoid bidding on important messages, whether good or bad news.
Lee said, Litecoin had given him very good financial support, so his personal well-being is no longer dependent on the success of the cryptocurrency in the market.
He refused to give the exact amount of the LTC sold, but noted that it would not be enough to break the GDAX rate.
“I wrote this text before the Bcash fiasco on GDAX / Coinbase. As you can see, some people think that I pample Bcash for my own benefit. It seems that I can not win, ” concluded Lee.
Litecoin has grown rapidly over the past year, along with other major cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and Ethereum. At the moment, Litecoin is the fifth largest cryptocurrency. At the time of publication, 1 LTC costs about $330, which is 75 times higher than the price fixed on January 1, 2017.
